Canary

Daemon — October 2019 to December 2019

  • Created a tool using Swift + a Raspberry Pi to monitor outgoing calls from MITEL phone systems.
  • Allows managers to quickly direct health officials and emergency responders to the correct room for when a customer calls an emergency number.

Podcast Archive

Fan Website — January 2017 to February 2017

  • Built a single page app using Vue.js and the YouTube player API that served all episodes for a podcast, letting you search transcripts and facilitating seeking to timestamps for specific discussion topics.
  • Coordinated with other fans from the community to create and ingest timelines containing discussion topics and timestamps for each weekly episode.
  • Served a total of 35,870 people up until Feb. 2020, when its sale to the podcast's creators was finalized.

  • Created an extension using the Safari API and HTML5 Web Storage to discover existing Reddit discussions based on the currently active page's URL.

Sound Normalizer

Website — July 2015 to August 2015

  • Made a LAMP-stack web app that normalizes volume levels of sound tracks, by allowing users to upload audio files or directly link to YouTube videos.
  • Improved result times by creating a self-hosted server component that transparently queued up audio processing jobs and served them to the user when ready.
